La Chapelle d’Abondance is a charming village in a beautiful valley in Haute-Savoie. It is a lovely place located near the ski lift that provides access to “Portes du Soleil,” one of the largest ski areas in the world.
This massive ski area spans France and Switzerland, boasts over 600 km of slopes, and reaches a peak altitude of approximately 2,250 meters! On-site, you’ll find all the shops essential for daily life, various dining options—including Restaurant Les Cornettes (run by five generations since 1894, offering sublime food and a pleasant stay)—and ski rentals. From the Netherlands
The area is easily accessible by car via France or Switzerland, mostly via highways. The distance from Utrecht to Le Petit Châtel is 922 km. You can also get there quickly by plane; Geneva Airport is just a 1-hour and 40-minute drive away. Additionally, Lake Geneva is very close by, as are the various towns surrounding this beautiful lake. Other lovely towns like Morzine and Châtel are easily accessible by car.
